This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get a refund for purchases made on Just Get Crafty (justgetcrafty.com), a service operated by snailmail.eco LLC ("Just Get Crafty," "we," "us," or "our"). We want you to feel good about what you pay for, so we've tried to keep this fair, clear, and friendly.
If you have any questions, email us anytime at snailmail.eco@gmail.com.
1. Scope
This policy applies to purchases of our paid Pro plan, whether billed as a recurring subscription or as a one-time upgrade, and to any other paid features offered through Just Get Crafty. Payments are processed by Stripe; we don't store your full card details.
Throughout this policy we mostly describe Pro as a subscription, since that's the common case. If your purchase was a one-time charge rather than a recurring one, the same principles (goodwill window, digital-delivery rules, and your statutory rights) apply.
2. Try Before You Buy (Free Tier)
Just Get Crafty has a free tier so you can fully evaluate the product before paying anything. On the free tier you can draw your characters, build your font, preview everything, and download watermarked outputs (fonts and SVGs). Pro removes the watermark and unlocks clean downloads plus extra features.
Because the free tier lets you confirm that Just Get Crafty does what you need before you upgrade, we encourage you to try it first. This is the best way to avoid a purchase you're unsure about, and it shapes how we handle refunds below.
3. Refund Eligibility and Window
We offer a 14-day goodwill refund window. If you're unhappy with a recent Pro charge, contact us within 14 days of that charge and we'll work with you to make it right, typically a full refund of that charge.
To keep this fair for everyone, the goodwill window is subject to reasonable fair-use limits. We may decline or reduce a refund where, for example:
- The account upgraded, mass-downloaded a large volume of clean (un-watermarked) fonts or SVGs, and then requested a refund;
- There are signs of abuse, fraud, or repeated buy-use-refund cycles on the same or related accounts; or
- The request falls well outside the 14-day window without a good reason.
Outside these situations, we lean toward saying yes. If your case is unusual, just tell us what happened, we read every request from a real human's perspective.
4. Subscriptions: Cancelling and Renewals
Cancelling. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops all future billing. Your Pro access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then your account moves to the free tier. We don't delete your saved fonts when you downgrade.
Partial periods / proration. As a general rule, we do not prorate or refund partial subscription periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you keep Pro through the end of that cycle rather than getting a partial refund. That said, if you were charged for a renewal you didn't intend (for example, you forgot to cancel and hadn't used Pro in the new period), reach out. We consider these on a goodwill basis and will often refund a recent, unused renewal.
Renewal reminders. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Please cancel before your renewal date if you don't want to be charged again.
5. Digital Goods and EU/UK Consumer Rights
Just Get Crafty is a digital service: fonts and SVGs are generated and delivered to you instantly as downloads. This affects how some statutory refund rights work.
EU and UK consumers normally have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content within a 14-day cooling-off period. However, when you ask for digital content to be delivered immediately, you may be asked to:
- Consent to immediate delivery / performance of the service, and
- Acknowledge that, once the download or delivery has begun, your statutory right to withdraw may be limited or lost for content already delivered.
Where you give that consent and delivery begins, we may decline a withdrawal-based refund for the portion already delivered. This never removes your statutory rights, it only reflects how those rights apply to immediately delivered digital content under EU/UK law. If you believe you're entitled to a statutory refund (for example, the product is faulty or not as described), email snailmail.eco@gmail.com describing the issue, and we'll honour your rights under applicable law. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your jurisdiction.
Our 14-day goodwill window (Section 3) sits alongside these statutory rights and, in many cases, is more generous than what's strictly required.
6. How to Request a Refund
Email us at snailmail.eco@gmail.com and include:
- The email address on your Just Get Crafty account;
- The date and amount of the charge (and the Stripe receipt or last 4 digits of the card, if you have them); and
- A short note on why you'd like a refund, it helps us help you faster.
Processing time. Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method via Stripe. We typically process them within 5–10 business days, though it can take a little longer for your bank or card issuer to post the credit to your statement.
7. Chargebacks
If something's wrong with a charge, please contact us first at snailmail.eco@gmail.com. We can almost always sort it out faster than a bank dispute, usually a quick, direct refund.
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first can lead to your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated, and may delay any resolution. We'd much rather just fix it for you directly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes apply to purchases made after the new version takes effect; the version in place at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
